Moving On

It will be four months since I began this first painting and it is still not resolved. If I didn't have to finish it for this exhibit in two weeks, I would put it away for a while in order to gain some distance and refresh the eye. Tonight I hung some previous mixed media pieces next to it and saw that what would unify this piece would be to select either a mid-key sienna or ultramarine hue and create a haze between the foreground, middle-ground and background. I also need to emphasize the grid again in areas. My intuition seems weak right now, so after making these observations I am moving onto some other activity.
